Brightmont Academy in Arizona
Is your gifted, talented, or twice-exceptional (2E) student becoming disengaged from mainstream schooling? Students who excel academically are often left to their own devices within mainstream schools, which can lead to boredom or frustration.
In addition, many gifted students may experience social isolation or emotional issues, struggle with perfectionism, or deal with a learning disability in one area while demonstrating exceptional ability in another. When schools aren’t equipped to accommodate these young people, they may struggle to realize their full potential.
Brightmont Academy offers gifted and 2E students the one-to-one support they need to flourish inside and outside the classroom. We will match your student with a skilled teacher who will work with him or her to shore up strengths, address weaknesses, and help develop confidence. In addition to supporting academic motivation and achievement, we also make accommodations for social and emotional needs.
Our mastery-based curriculum is engaging and personalized, and challenges your student to demonstrate exceptional depth of knowledge—not just to complete a greater volume of work.
Your student can also access courses that provide dual college and high school credit. We offer more than a dozen Advanced Placement® (AP®) classes, as well as access to sixteen college-level classes taught directly at Brightmont in our one-to-one setting. At Brightmont Academy, there are no limits for your gifted student.
Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school offering one-to-one instruction and tutoring for students in grades 6-12.
Founded in 1999, we have helped over 3,800 students experience success, and have 14 campuses in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, and Washington.
At the center of Brightmont Academy’s personalized learning approach is one-to-one instruction: one highly qualified teacher working with one student throughout every learning session.
Brightmont Academy offers customized learning plans tailored to each student's individual academic needs, learning difficulties, and styles.
Some students focus best with shorter learning periods or at specific times of the day. At Brightmont, students can choose their own schedule and work at their optimal pace. Teachers motivate and mentor students, helping them stay on track to graduate.
Our campus directors and teachers can customize both the instruction and the learning environment to help your child reach their full potential. With our one-to-one instructional model, your child will have the full attention of an experienced teacher. Every class. All the time. We work with:
Gifted and 2E students
Students with learning difficulties
Athletes and performers who need flexible scheduling
Students suffering from anxiety and/or depression
To foster continual progress, each teaching moment is optimized to accommodate a student’s needs:
Learning style: Instructional methods leverage each student’s learning strengths.
Pace: The pace of instruction slows when the student struggles and accelerates when the student "gets it."
Motivation: The teacher finds the most effective ways to encourage and motivate each student.
