We offer grade level readiness, intervention, and advanced courses. Through supportive, individualized instruction we help students catch up or get ahead.

  • Kindergarten
    Readiness
    Ages 3-6

    Options:
    -10 math sessions of number recognition, counting, shapes, and patterns
    -20 reading sessions of letter recognition, sounds and sight words
    -10 handwriting sessions for Pre-K or Preschool level

  • Math
    Skill Building
    Pre-K to 12th

    -Pre-K to K: Number recognition, counting, shapes, and patterns
    -Intervention: 20 math sessions
    -Advanced: 20 math sessions

  • Reading
    Skill Building
    Pre-K to 12th

    -Intervention: Orton-Gillingham & Scarborough's Reading Rope
    -Advanced: preparing for high school literature including reading strategies and text connections, such as analyzing text genres and understanding contextual clues

  • Writing
    Skill Building
    3rd to 12th

    -Authentic writing exercises, moving through the writing cycle, and writing for the reader
    -Mentor text and text structures: the basic template of written pieces
    -Kernel essays: short written pieces following a written structure
    -Genres available: narrative, informative, and persuasive

  • Handwriting
    Skill Building
    Pre-K to 3rd

    -Preschool: fine motor skills, letter formation, and number formation
    -Pre-K: fine motor and prewriting skills (holding a pencil/crayon, writing lines and curves, and shapes
    -Preschool-2nd grade: print
    -3rd grade: cursive

  • Grammar
    Skill Building
    4th to 12th

    Direct one-to-one approach to teaching the following skills:
    -Spelling Strategies
    -Homophones and Homographs
    -Mechanics
    -Punctuation
    -Sentence Structure
    -Parts of Speech

  • Executive Function / Learning Skills
    3rd to 12th

    -20 sessions of Homework Organizational Coaching and Skill Instruction
    -time management and planning
    -study plan
    -study strategies
    -goal setting
    -decision making and problem solving

  • Hands-On Science Experiments
    3rd to 12th

    -Grade Readiness 3-12
    -Grades 3-8: 10 Physical Science sessions
    -Grades 8-9: 10 Science sessions (Chemistry, Physical Science and Biology)

  • Freshman Readiness

    -Grade Readiness 8-9
    Options:
    -10 writing sessions
    -10 Algebra sessions
    -10 Geometry sessions
    -20 reading sessions

  • Credit Recovery / Acceleration
    9th to 12th

    Take or re-take any core high school course

  • ACT Preparation

    -20 sessions on all sections of the ACT
    -20 Homework studio sessions to complete practice tests and exercises
    1 full-length practice exam with scoring
    -1 written report showing progress
    -1 follow-up consultation

  • SAT Preparation

    -College Board and Khan Academy SAT materials
    -2 full-length practice exams with scoring and review
    -16 one-to-one instruction sessions, customized between math and verbal sections as appropriate for the student
    -1 follow-up consultation
